Gone Fishing

Hi and Welcome

We would like to take this opportunity to say Farewell to Captain Salty as he has retired from the collum and we were asked if we would take it over. Thank you Captain Salty for all the great info you have given everybody.

There has been great fishing out in the Kaipara with limits being caught and really good size fish being landed ranging from panies to 18lb and every thing in between. Land based fishing has been doing great as well.

If you don’t have a boat and want to get out on the water remember we have an awesome group of Charter Boats in the area, so make sure you get a group together and go out with them. If you don’t have a group phone the local Charters to see if they have a causal spot or two available.

LADIES it’s your turn on the 5th Nov as it’s the Annual Ladies Fishing Competition. Held at the Kaipara Cursing and Sport Fishing Club on Mill Rd, Helensville. The competition is open to members and non-members. For entry details call in or phone on 420 8052 (Visitors are always welcome).

Scallops coming in are fat and juicy, just remember the legal size for Scallops is 100mm across the widest part of the scallop and the bag limit is 20 per person per day. If you go over the limit or have undersize ones you could face a fine of between $250 and $500 per offence or in severe cases you could have your boat and equipment confiscated.

Congratulations
