Hoping you had a great month.  In and between the weather we are getting snip-its of the nice weather to come.  The children are into their last term of school and slowly we are rolling into the end of the year.  How has your year been? Has it been everything you have hoped for? Has it been mostly positive or mostly negative?  No matter how your year has been there is still time to achieve your desires before  this year ends.
Now is a great time to start an achievement journal.  An achievement journal is a recording of those things that you have done well at.  They may be small or they may be large.  No matter what, everyone has something to record.  We can often get into a negative spiral of not believing our daily activities mount to much.  I encourage you to start recording some of what you get up too and you will soon realise that you probably do a lot more than what you give yourself credit for.  If you really don’t do much, today, now, is a great time to change that.
What would you like to be doing in life?  Whatever it is start small, maybe just finding out more about what you would like to do, the internet or library can be a great source of information.  Small things added together really do add up to something big in the end.  If we run a low self esteem, we can be really good at discounting our achievements and our life can be looking more like a mountain of failures.  I encourage you to sift through those things you have done in the year, and look for the positive ones.  It is better to start building a mountain of positive memories, than to continually add to the mountain of negative memories you might have.  When we run low self esteem, the negative mountain will always tower, if not trample anything positive, the secret is to do the process in the opposite direction.  Make the positives tower enough that the negative isnt worth mentioning.  Negative experiences are always a chance for growth, review the experience in your mind, and think of three ways you could do it differently next time.  Take the learning and move on from the experience.  If we continually have a noose around our necks with negativity, we will constantly create negativity in our lives.Shelly Beach Cafe – Mothers’ Club
Mothers’ Club - this is a monthly get together running on a Saturday morning and is especially for mothers.  Motherhood can be hard work and it is common for us to put ourselves second place, normally we are juggling life with our normal responsibilities, and often we are in unknown territory with our parenting.  Our self esteem and self worth can take a dive.  This course will cover stress management, time management, balance and just generally how to look after ourselves better.  These courses are fun and very social, booking essentials on kim.motv8ncoach@ihug.co.nz or 0274 249-956
